PRESS RELEASE
Vulcan Rampage to Go Dormant for the 2025-2026 Season
Vulcan, AB – Sunday Oct 5th, 2025 – For Immediate Release
The Alberta Elite Junior Hockey League (AEJHL) announces that the Vulcan Rampage will go dormant for the 2025-2026 season and will not be icing a team this year.
Despite strong efforts by ownership and staff to recruit and prepare for the upcoming season, the player pool across Alberta continues to be stretched thin as new teams emerge. As a result, the Rampage was unable to establish in a competitive roster for the year.
The AEJHL commends the Vulcan Rampage organization for handling the transition with integrity and professionalism. All players have been fully released from their commitments to the team, and will have the opportunity to pursue hockey at all levels, including returning to sponsors, billets, and players have been paid in full.
The League extends its gratitude to the Town of Vulcan, the Rampage’s players, coaches, and community for their unwavering support.
The AEJHL remains committed to supporting the Rampage organization and looks forward to their return.
